More than 65 years ago, in the suburbs of Long Island, New York, a business was established that focused on commercial and residential heating oil distribution. Throughout these years, our team encountered numerous challenges and high costs associated with cleaning up oil spills. Realizing the need for affordable and efficient oil remediation solutions and preventive containment options, Oil Solutions International was founded.
Initially, we developed oil tank accessories like the Tank Tub and Tank Tray to enhance the safety and aesthetics of residential oil tanks. These products have effectively contained thousands of tanks, safeguarding properties. Although containment is crucial, we aimed to provide a more effective solution for cleaning up spills.
Traditional remediation methods involve costly excavations or harmful chemicals, both of which require transporting contaminated materials to waste facilities. Currently, Oil Solutions produces two innovative, patented products – OS Powder and OS Liquid – that transform traditional oil cleanup methods. These non-toxic products quickly absorb spills on hard surfaces, soil, and water, and are EPA-listed for complete on-site remediation.
Oil Solutions adapted technology was initially designed for neutralizing chemical warfare agents to effectively microencapsulate hydrocarbons. This patented solution eliminates health and safety risks from spills, and is offered to the oil and gas industry as an affordable and effective cleanup method.
